Christmas Break fun

It's been cold and snowy here in British Colombia which we normally don't ever get, but I cannot believe I'm saying this but I actually miss the rain. We are in full swing of Christmas break. One great perk of being a teacher is getting christmas break, spring break and of course summer break. We have been busy doing so much things that's happening around our neighbourhood. I wanted to share some fun ideas that don't cost a whole lot and make some great family memories.

2. Kids Play Cafe (Surrey BC)

The idea of Kids Play Cafe is to create a sophisticated coffeehouse, with an indoor playground that would be suitable and safe for younger children. Kids Play Cafe would offer this younger crowd with the ability to freely play on the playground and engage in fun toys; all, within the reach of their parents or caregivers. This would give the parent time to sip on a cup of coffee or tea, sit and relax, and watch their child play. We also envisioned Kids Play Cafe as being a social hub, where locals from the neighbourhood would be able to bring their children together to play, while the parents would get to network and build friendships.

Admission:

I also wanted to mention all of these fun places are great, but you can also just venture outside, you don't have to spend a lot of money for the kiddos to have fun.

1. Try filling squeezee bottles with different colours of water and let the kids spray the snow outside.

2. Let them hold different sized sticks to make different tracks

3. The good old snow ball fight

4. Building a snowman (bring old clothing such as hats, scarves) we also brought out different fruits to use for the face like carrots, strawberries for the eyes, etc

5. If your kiddo cannot use the squeezee bottle, use a spray bottle instead with different water colours

6. Go on a winter scavenger hunt, looking to find pine cones, sticks and other things hidden under the snow
